Located in the South of the Champagne region, La Maison de Marie is only a few minutes away from the Lake of Der. It’s a very big lake with 77 km of shores and where you can swim (beaches) and practise any water sport from sailing to speedboat racing.
Here, thousands of birds like the common cranes, offer you the great spectacle of nature. Over the seasons, nature shows a different landscape; the colors of the vegetation, the level of the lake, the birds, everything will surprise you.
The bike ride around the lake is a must, as is the walk on the trails in the vast oak forests.
The timber-framed architecture of the Der Museum Village and the timber-framed churches tourist route offers incredible charm.
Local specialties with Champagne of course, even if the vines are a few kilometers away, do not leave without a tasting (in moderation) at a winemaker.
Also enjoy the local beer produced in Montier en Der – A bottle awaits you in your room.
